How long will it take to complete my loft conversion?

The time a project takes to complete varies greatly and is influenced by factors such as size of the project, amount of work involved etc. However, an average estimate would be around 6-8 weeks.
A Dormer loft conversion will take approximatley 10 days longer than a Velux™ loft conversion.

What is the starting price of a loft conversion?

As an approximate estimate, a Velux™ loft conversion starts at around £16,000. This would include a bathroom. A Dormer conversion starts at around £24,000.
Prices can vary depending on the size of the conversion and the complexity of the clients requirements.
There is a standard fee of £600 for drawings and planning application documentation fully refundable on the commencement of work.

What is the minimum loft height in order to convert it?

Your loft needs to be 8 feet in height to be converted.

How are old materials / rubble / waste disposed of?

All materials that are to be disposed of are done so in a skip. The cost of this is included in your quote.

What happens to the water tank in the loft?

Can all lofts be converted?

No. Some lofts cannot be converted due to their size or structural constraints. As mentioned earlier, your loft needs to be over 8 feet in height. Please contact us for more information or to arrange a viewing.

Do I need building plans for my loft conversion?

Yes. If the intention of your conversion is habitable accommodation, it will need to be planned by a professional to ensure it meets building regulations.
